Summer is a time for reading and relaxing!
July 4th - August 18th
Ages 13+
What is the Teen Summer Reading Challenge?
The Teen Summer Reading Challenge is a program that encourages reading! Report your reading to us and be entered into a draw for the end of the summer prize. Complete reading challenges and you will be able to play Plinko for a chance of winning a prize on the spot!
Come to the desk to register and get your Teen Flyer with reading challenges inside. You can begin reporting your reading to the Children's, Youth & Readers' Advisory desk on July 4th.
How Do I Report My Reading?
You can report your reading at the Children's, Youth & Readers' Advisory desk any time that we are open. You do not have to finish a book in order to report! You can have a chat with us about what you have read so far. Each time you tell us what you're reading, you will receive a ballot that will go towards the end of the summer prize! You can only report once a day.
Plinko
Once you have completed a reading challenge inside the Teen Flyer, come to the Children's, Youth & Readers' Advisory desk to tell us about it. Once you have completed 5 of the reading challenges, you are able to play Plinko for an instant prize! You are only allowed to play Plinko once a week, regardless of how many challenges you have completed.
