TD Summer Reading Club

The TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest summer reading program for children of all ages, interests, and abilities. This free Club is offered at more than 2,000 public libraries across Canada, as well as online. The Club celebrates Canadian authors, illustrators, and stories, and inspires kids to explore the fun of reading in their own way.

When your child registers for the TD Summer Reading Club, they will receive a free notebook and stickers to track their reading, a team button for our window race, and a web access code. Visit tdsummerreadingclub.ca for fun games and activities and to use your access code.

We hope you find reading rewarding in itself, but to give you a little extra incentive, you will also have a chance to win prizes! All you have to do is track your reading and then tell us about it. We love hearing all about what you’ve been reading!

How to Register

You must register for the TD Summer Reading Club in person at the Readers’ Advisory Desk located on the first floor starting June 15. A library card is not required to register.

Tell Us What You’re Reading

Using your TD Summer Reading Club notebook, record what you’ve been reading. Visit the Readers’ Advisory desk each week from June 27 to August 15 and tell library staff what you’ve been reading. You’ll then be entered into a draw for the weekly prize. Each week there are 3 different prize draws to choose from.

Children can earn one ballot each week for our weekly prizes.

Teams and the Window Scene

It’s an underwater adventure!  When children register for the reading club, they will be randomly selected for one of 4 teams: anglerfish, sea otter, axolotl, and dugong. Each time a child reports their reading, they earn a team character the window scene.

While kids can enter the draw prizes once a week, they can earn a window sticker for their team each day.  You just need to tell us about what you’ve been reading!
