Class Visits

Belleville Public Library’s Class Visit schedule is now full for the 2025/2026 school year. We will begin taking Class Visit requests for the 2026/2027 school year in late August.

We happily welcome schools, daycares, and other children’s organizations for trips to the library. To book your visit, please complete the online form at the bottom of this page.

Procedures for Class Visits

  • Class visits may be arranged through our online booking form below.
  • At least two weeks prior notice is required for bookings.
  • Groups with 25 or more children will be split between the library and gallery.
  • Recurring visits are limited to every other month.
  • Student Library Card forms must be dropped off to the library at least 5 days before the visit date.
  • If your class is unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible.

What We Can Offer During Your Visit

Grades K-4:

  • Tour of the Library (10 min.)
  • Visit to the Gallery (30-45 min.)
  • Storytime with instruments (30 min.)
  • Themed craft (30 – 45 min.)
  • Library scavenger hunt (30 min.)
  • Browse and check out books. (30 – 45 min.)

For Grade 5+:

  • Tour of the Library (10 min.)
  • Visit to the Gallery (30-45 min.)
  • Themed craft (30 – 45 min.)
  • Library scavenger hunt (30 min.)
  • 3D Printer demo (30 min.)
  • “Welcome to the Library” presentation – learn about services at the library, library term, physical and digital resources, and the Dewey Decimal System (30 – 45 min.)
  • Browse and check out books (30 – 45 min.)
