Children's Programs

All children's programs are drop-in. On the rare occasion that a program reaches maximum room capacity, you may be asked to wait for some participants to finish the activity, or to try again at the next scheduled event.

Music & Movement

Fall Season: Monday, September 11 - Monday, December 11

toddlers dancingChildren and their caregivers are invited to join us for this fun program. This program focuses on music and the importance of interaction between a child and their caregiver, so come ready to dance, sing and play instruments.

Ages 0-6. Drop-in program. Mondays from 10:00 a.m - 11:00 a.m. 1st Floor Children's Program Room.



Fall Season: Monday, September 11 - Monday, December 11

two babies listening to a storyWelcome to 30 minutes of engaging activities specially formulated for you and your baby. Enjoy a tickle and some bouncing, lots of songs and some board books. What better introduction to books and the library for our very youngest patrons.

Ages birth - 18 months. Drop-in program. Mondays from 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. 1st Floor Children's Program Room.


Fall Season: Tuesday, September 12 - Tuesday, December 12

Ages 19 months - 3 years. Drop-in program. Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.1st Floor Children's Program Room.


Preschool Storytime

Fall Season: Wednesday, September 13 - Wednesday, December 13

a group of children listening to a storyAre you ready for some fun! Please join our enthusiastic Children's staff for 30 minutes of stories, rhymes and music. Those happy kids won't even realize that they are getting reading readiness skills as they listen and join in with our activities!

Ages 3 years +. Drop-in program. Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. 1st Floor Children's Program Room.

Saturday Kids' Club     

Fall Season: Saturday, September 16 - Saturday, December 16

All ages. Drop-in program. Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.1st Floor Children's Program Room.

Junior Club

Fall Season: Thursday, September 21 - Thursday, November 16

Ages 7 -12. Drop-in program. 1st Floor Children's Program Room. Drop-in program. 3rd Thursday of the Month from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

P.A. Craft Days

Youth Chess Club

Fall Season: Tuesday, September 12 - Tuesday, December 11

Join us for a monthly evening of chess fun! Players of all skill levels are welcome.

For children & youth aged 9-17. This is a drop-in program. 2nd Tuesday of the Month from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Children 10 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Drop-in program. 1st Floor Children's Program Room.
