A Visit with Manly MacDonald
acrylic on canvas, 16 x 20 inches
Manly MacDonald, Canadian artist born in Point Anne, has been referred to as the “Interpreter of Old Ontario” as he captured scenes of rural life in this province that now exist only in memory. Like many landscape painters working in an impressionistic style, MacDonald painted outside even in the coldest months of the year, and in this workshop, we will celebrate that approach by use of large brushes, palette knives and lots of thick paint to create a snowy, Manly MacDonald inspired, farmhouse scene.
Each 3-hour workshop, led by Rachel Harbour, includes all materials for only $40.00
