Poppies, Like Monet

November and poppies are, for many of us, inextricably linked. Let’s begin this month looking at these beautiful flowers in the landscape, as inspired by Claude Monet. When he was in his 30’s, Monet and his young family were living in Argenteuil, a Paris suburb. In 1873, he painted his family out for a country walk in “The Poppy Field near Argenteuil,” which we will use as our inspiration to create our own version of a child wandering through a simple, sunny field.
