Micro:bit Python AI and Robotics Workshop

July 16 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

This 4-week workshop introduces text-based programming with Python (software) and the micro:bit board (hardware). Students progress through the Python curriculum, learning fundamental coding concepts including variables, conditions, loops, and functions while interfacing with physical hardware components.

The course covers input/output operations through button interfaces, motion sensing, gesture detection, touch sensing, and sound control. Students will make applications integrating multiple inbuilt sensors and outputs, including interactive programs using the 5×5 LED display, audio, and data processing. The final week includes an introduction to the micro:bit CreateAI tool and further robotics, allowing students to integrate their skills to the next level.

Students are expected to attend all sessions, as concepts build week over week.
